s/y Meripurakk
S/y Meripurakk was the first modern type of Sea Scout vessel made for scouting purposes. She is designed and built for Sea Scout training purposes. During the years in use, has proven her to be the most excellent craft for these purposes.
She is steady safe boat and services well for training. The outlook of boat makes most people to think it is made of fiber class. Usually you have to go inside to prove it to be made of wood. The vessel equipped to use in whole Baltic Sea.
The main users of Meripurakk are scouts and ventures. Cups are allowed for shorter trips during evenings and weekends. The target for many scouts participating is some day to qualify to be skipper of Meripurakk. All members of troop taking part for maintenance work of craft.
Several long cruises are done annually. The most popular target is Archipelago Sea and Åland, other targets from past years has been Höga Kusten, Stockholm, Karlskrona, Copenhagen, Tallinn and Lake Saimaa.
